This Efficient House is an expert residential climate control, indoor air quality and energy-efficiency company. We install air-sealing, insulation, heating & cooling equipment, windows, whole house fans, radon mitigation and other retrofits that save money, increase comfort and reduce carbon emissions. Because we are not a "single-trade" contractor we never misdiagnose the source of wasted energy or comfort related issues, however, we do not offer "free estimates" nor do we employ salesmen. All of our projects start with thorough diagnostic testing of the home, for which we charge a small reasonable fee. We begin with a home energy audit which uses various diagnostic tests to analyze the efficiency of a house. We can then suggest the most cost effective ways to improve the efficiency of your home, reduce energy usage/utility bills and improve home comfort. What differentiates us from ordinary construction companies - is that we take a "whole house" approach to improving your home.
