I typically will address minor problems while I'm there that the customer didn't know about or was concerned about. The benefit for me to do this additional work is, first of course as a courtesy, but it also helps me gain a better understanding of the mechanical systems; so, when I get called again I won't have to familiarize myself with the house all over again. It makes it easier and faster in the future for me to diagnose problems which then lower future cost to the customer.
