We specialize in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, a style of therapy that is based on attachment and can be effective in decreasing negative fight patterns and increasing positive interactions. EFT can help couples forge a more intimate bond, change key emotional responses and decrease relationship stress. (Note: No insurances are billed for couples therapy.) Life Change also offers Healing Hearts Together (HHT), a relationship education program for individuals and their partners who are experiencing depression, anxiety, stress and emotional distress after a cardiac event. Its goal is to help "cardiac couples" transform fears and worries, and forge a stronger bond. When paired with a standard cardio rehab of exercise, diet and medication, HHT supplies the emotional support/information that teaches patients to use their psychological heart to heal their physical heart.
