Community School for Creative Education

Community School for Creative Education is an Oakland Waldorf-inspired multicultural elementary charter. Currently serving Transitional K [TK] to - Grade 5, we are growing to serve grades TK-8 by 2016, adding a grade every years. We are located on 2111 International Boulevard, Oakland CA. We are the country's first Waldorf inspired multi cultural urban charter. Our focus is on advancing equity. One of the most diverse schools in diverse Oakland, we are committed to educating the whole child, head, heart and hand, and to working with the whole community to do so. Parents are our key partners. Our surrounding merchant, faith, support provider and police and elected official community are our key alleys. In collaboration with our mental health service partner, Lincoln Child Center, we offer embedded therapeutic support so no child would fall through the cracks. Our school tours are weekly Tuesdays 9am - 10am during the school year. No reservation necessary.
