Established in Newport Beach in 2001, Coastal Kids has earned national acclaim for its comprehensive approach to pediatric health and medicine. Under the direction of Medical Director Steven Abelowitz, Coastal Kids employs a highly skilled team of physicians trained in primary healthcare, preventative care, asthma and allergies, nutrition, breastfeeding support, growth and development, attention deficit disorder, adolescent health, adolescent gynecology, and team sports. Weekdays after-hours: Mondays through Thursdays from 5 P.M. to 6 P.M. Weekend Hours (appointment only): Saturdays from 8:45 A.M to 12 P.M & Sundays from 8:45 A.M to 11 A.M. - no walk in appointments. Walk-in appointments are not encouraged or recommended and cannot be guaranteed always to be seen. Holidays: Coastal Kids’ offices are closed on all major holidays: Memorial Day, 4th July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Holidays Eve: Our offices are partially open on the following dates: Thanksgiving Eve, December 24th and December 31st. Please call one of our offices to know more and to make a last-minute appointment. *Weekend and after hour office urgent care excludes St. Joseph Hoag Affiliated HMO as per the plan. Those plans require patients to be seen by Hoag contracted urgent care facilities.
