Citizens Oil Co-op

The Citizen's Oil Co-op is dedicated to offering our members throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island lower prices on their energy needs including heating oil, propane, and discounted electricity. Our large membership allows Citizen's Oil Co-op to sign lower priced contracts with participating companies. The Co-op has averaged 30 to 40 cents less that the state average for full-service heating oil. The Citizen's Oil Co-op was incorporated in 1992 with a vision to unite heating oil consumers in Connecticut and Rhode Island to leverage their purchasing power for a discounted rate on their home heating oil. Since its establishment the Co-op has stretched to cover every town in Connecticut and Rhode Island and has grown to over 4,000 members. In addition to heating oil, we have been able to negotiate contracts to save consumers money on other home utilities such as electricity, Biofuel, propane, and insurance policies. We also offer savings on solar insulation. We can connect people to an energy saving audit as well.
